Les pronoms personnels / Los pronombres personales

Bonjour ! ¡Hola! Popping in here to the blog to share a couple of resources that will help your students solidify their knowledge of subject pronouns in French or in Spanish. We introduce these formally in fourth grade in our K-8 French program, and on occasion an eighth grade student will mix up “vous” (you plural) for “ils” (they). It takes time and practice for these to become automatic for the students, but we thought creating these resources might speed up the process for our students.

The first resource is a simple chant. Students chant the various pronouns as they follow along with the video, and the visuals and english translations reinforce the meanings. We have also included some examples of using the pronouns with regular verbs (ER in French and AR in Spanish), so it is a great chant to pull out when you are introducing or reviewing regular verb conjugation. Here are the chants - we hope your students will find them fun and useful!

The second resource is a simple set of posters we have available on TPT. The resource also includes a useful handout for your students, and two quizzes (one matching, one fill-in-the-blank. Click on the images below to learn more!
